Description Replacement grille letters designed for most 2016–2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro–style grilles. These letters were modeled as a functional replacement for the OEM grille lettering. To make them easier to print, I left out the slight curvature along the horizontal axis that the factory letters have. Because of that, the letters need to be heat-formed during installation (see below). I modeled these for someone else’s truck, so while fitment has worked well, I can’t promise a perfect OEM-level fit on every grille (though I definitely welcome any constructive feedback or improved remixes!). Print Settings I had no problems printing the letters with supports enabled on the build plate, both facing up and facing down. I printed the perimeters in red and the rest in black to get the look shown in the pictures. I strongly recommend printing in PETG or another material with a similar or higher heat deflection temperature. Assembly You can install the letters with the grille fully assembled, but removing the section that holds the letters makes things a lot easier. In my case, it was just four easy to access screws. Molding The Letters The OEM letters have a slight curve that these prints don’t have by default. Heat the back of a letter with a heat gun for about 10–20 seconds, or until it bends with very little force. Press the letter into its slot on the grille and hold it there until it cools. Repeat for the rest of the letters. Play it safe with the heat, too much might cause unwanted deformation. Gluing the letters I used JBWeld ClearWeld Epoxy  which has held up perfectly so far. Apply epoxy around the edges on the back of each letter, shaping the bead so that any excess ends up on the inside of the letter rather than the visible edges Place the letter into its slot and hold until it sets.
