UPDATE 01.02.2026: I have revised the stem to be mounted more securely and also with higher stiffness. Additionally, the ball mount is now separate, which allows for mounting different size ball joint mounts in case it is needed. I reverse-engineered the silver trim ring in case it is broken during (dis)assembly. Instructions: Press an M5 heatset insert into the bottom of the stem. Next, press an M3 heatset insert into the top of the stem. Mount the stem onto the vent insert using a countersunk M5x16 bolt. Screw on the ball with a countersunk M3x12 Put on the TPU buffer as shown in the screenshot and clip in the vent insert. Put on the original trim or use the printed one. DONE! ORIGINAL POST: I designed this to mount my phone on an existing mount, but on the vent instead of the CD tray of the radio. The ball joint has a diameter of 17mm, and the pin has a 3mm hole for inserting a steel rod. This was necessary in order to make it stiffer, there was too much movement in the assembly without it. It also has space for pressing in an M3 heat set insert. All parts except the TPU buffer are to be printed in a heat and UV-resistant material, like ASA. For the TPU buffer I'd suggest a pretty soft TPU, mine is 30D.
