# The Ultimate Rivian Center Console Organizer This model improves on the OEM Center Console Organizer in several key ways: * Deeper main storage box * Grooved walls with repositionable dividers for the main storage box and upper tray * Scalloped interface between the main box and upper tray to prevent the tray from sliding during braking and acceleration * Cutout in the main box for USB-C ports eliminates the space-consuming bump-out required by the OEM design * Opening in the bottom front edge of the main box for passing through excess USB cable and reducing clutter * Opening on the back of the main box for easier removal Rivian's center console organizer solves the problem of what to do with such a cavernous storage space. The original design brilliantly dropped into place, creating stackable storage with several inches of space remaining at the very bottom of the console and room enough on top for a quick-access tray. The OEM design, however, incorporated a relatively large bump-out to preserve access to the console USB-C outlets but sacrificing space. The ridges in the floor of the OEM design did little to contain items, and the top tray — designed to slide forward and back for easier access to the main box — would slide freely during moderate acceleration and braking. Simply put, it was a solid foundation that left room for improvement. This design aims to improve upon a good thing. The main box was deepened, and the bump-out has been replaced with a simple cutout, increasing the overall space of the console organizer while still permitting access to the USB-C outlets. Additionally, an opening was added to the front lower edge of the box so that excess USB cable can be passed through into the lower section, eliminating cable clutter even when using a 6' cable. The interface between the tray and the main box was also improved by adding matching scalloped profiles to the top of the main box and the underside of the lip of the tray.
