Description

On a Toyota Auris the part that holds the Bowden wire on the release lever for the rear seats in the trunk breaks easily. This part can be printed and then solvent welded and/or screw mounted to the original broken lever to fix it. I printed them in ASA with standard Voron print settings - I flipped the orientation and used supports, but it can probably be printed as-is with no supports. The model should be aligned so that there's approx. 2mm of space left the original unbroken semicircular part that holds the bowden and the printed bit. The striped part should mesh with the striping on the original part. The bowden should pass under the printed hook and through the 2mm space. Epoxying it in place is not strong enough. On second try, I solvent welded them using using a slurry made from ASA and acetone, then I drilled the original part through the hole with a 3mm drill bit, added a heat set insert into the printed part and used a M3x12 BHCS from the other side to strengthen the connection. It seems to be working fine. The included file should fit the left lever, mirror it in the slicer for the right one.
