A replacement handle for some 1999 to 2007 GMC and Chevrolet trucks. This is just the handle portion of the extended cab rear door latch assembly. A common failure of this part is for the lower lever arm to snap off. Print with ABS or ASA or some other durable and heat resistant material. No supports needed.  Will this fit your vehicle? If you have a Chevy silverado or a GMC sierra made between 1999 and 2007 with an extended cab with rear doors that swing open towards the rear of the vehicle, then probably. To install your new handle, first remove the broken handle by removing the two T30 star drive bolts.    Now that you have the part in your hands, you need to remove the hinge pin. If it is crimped on the end like mine was you will need to saw the crimp off with a dremel tool. Leave at least a quarter of an inch of pin past the housing.   Round off any burrs and pull the pin out, but be careful not to lose any parts.   Use the dremel to make a groove around the end of the pin. This is where the keeper will go to keep the pin from sliding out, so make sure it's going to stick out past the housing when the pin is fully inserted. Make the groove about 1/16" (2mm) wide. Try to make a round waist of about 1/8" (4mm) diameter.   Insert the pin into the housing and through the bottom lever. Then position the spring in place and press the pin though it.   Push the pin through to the handle alcove and put the washer on it. Then put the handle in place and push the pin through the lower brace.   Position the spring so the bent leg is resting in the groove on the handle lever arm and press the pin through it far enough to keep it in place. Then grab the straight leg of the spring and force it through the hole in the housing.   Press the pin the rest of the way through the housing and put the keeper in the groove in the end.   Reinstall your repared handle using the two T30 star drive bolts.
