An adjustable quick-release mount for the Valentine One Gen 2 radar detector. Uses magnets to handle the quick release aspect: you have to rotate it out to get it out. Inspired by the DS1 mount (https://www.rdforum.org/threads/113691/), but done without reference to and isn't compatible with any of the part of that mount. When assembling, the lip of the hook goes UP. You want the hook taking the vertical load, and the magnets used to keep it from rotating out accidentally, not for bearing the load. If the lip goes down, then any jostles can peel it off, and that won't work. You'll also need 8x 3mmx10mm disc magnets (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09DFS2XDL). Half go into the mount, half into the hook. Make sure you have the alignment right before gluing them down, or you'll have to redo it. Also, make sure to give the glue time to set. I use 3M VHB tape to attach it to the windshield. Obviously, don't use PLA for the functional part in a car: car interiors get way too hot. PETG worked fine, until it hit 140F inside the car, then it warped too. Nylon? The screw is especially prone to heat damage, and will come lose before anything else seems damaged.
