It is no secret that the factory audio system for Porsche 987's is terrible.  In many cases the factory amplifier is probably dead by now for a lot of people.  My amp wasn't dead, but the stereo was seriously lacking bass so I was hoping to address that by replacing the amp and upgrading the door speakers. I do not like making significant modifications to my vehicles that are not reversible.  I made this adapter that connects to the factory wiring bracket so I would not have to cut or splice the factory wiring when replacing the amplifier with an aftermarket one. For my particular install, I have a 2008 Porsche Cayman 987.1 with the Sound Package Plus (SPP) stereo consisting of: Two woofers in the doors Two mids in the doors Two tweeters in the dash A centre speaker in the dash Two mids in the rear ASK amplifier  Based on my research, I found that the amplifier only powers the two lower door woofers and the centre speaker .  I verified this by unplugging the amplifier and turning on the stereo.  All other speakers continued to operate even though the amp was completely disconnected; they were being powered by the head unit.  Note: by replacing the factory amplifier with an aftermarket one you will lose your centre speaker (not that it was really important to begin with). To use this adapter, you will also need eight (8) or nine (9) .093" molex male pins : 2x Front Right Input (+/-) 2x Front Left Input (+/-) 2x Front Right Output (+/-) 2x Front Left Output (+/-) 1x remote wire (this may be optional if your new amp detects a signal without the need of a remote wire)   I've attached a PDF with the pin layout and speaker wire colours for my particular install .  In my research I've come across a few instances in which either the ASK amp pin layouts were different or the speaker wire colours varied or both.  Generally speaking, I found the layouts and colours for the 987.1 with the SPP stereo were pretty consistent ( refe
