This gearbox interfaces the three different worm gears on the sunroof mechanism for an early Porsche 944. With these cars now 40+ years in age, the original plastic gearboxes are starting to crack, and in cases like mine, disintegrate when you look at it the wrong way. This design is an improvement over the original, where I tightened up the gear lash between the main gear and the drive worm gear to prevent teeth skipping as well as a refined lid design that keeps the worm gear tube things from moving around; a flaw of the original. All you need is the original solid metal gear (hehe) and the screws off the old gearbox; everything else should be plug and play.
