Introduction The navigation system in my VW Up! from 2013 does not work anymore. The system is terribly old and a replacement is rather expensive. Therefore I designed this bracket connector. This should apply to all older versions of the VW Up!, Seat Mii or Skoda Citigo older than 2016. The connector bracket The connector clicks on the arm for the original navigation system and has a simple interface for custom phone holders. The bracket measures 54x54x2 mm, and I, therefore, suggest making the counterpart 54.2x54.2x2 mm. The bracket must be glued on the phone holder - remember to orient the bracket connector as shown in the image. Custom phone holder For now, I am willing to make a custom holder for a like and download ;-) Drop a comment with the width and thickness of your phone. If you are making a precise measure (e.g. with a calliper), I suggest adding 0.5 mm to both measures. Recommended printing settings Support: Enable support (easy to remove) Placement: Print as shown on the image. Otherwise: Default printer settings Assembly Glue the connector bracket onto the phone holder as shown in the image. Pay attention to the orientation of the connector bracket before glueing. Apply glue to the entire surface which touches the phone holder. Not too much glue - neither too little ;-) Note The temperature in the car can be quite high during the summer, and since the phone holder is placed just in front of the windscreen it gets direct sunlight. This might cause the wrap. To prevent this, 1) apply the right amount of glue to the connection bracket, and 2) make a phone holder which is not thin and fragile.
