I bought some nice Dotz rims for my Mazda B2500. Unfortunately the wheel hub caps are not just very expensive but the look also very ugly ( in my opinion ). So what's the solution for a tinkerer like me? I designed my own ones to fit my needs! :D The caps are meant to be printed upside down to have a nice surface without the typical 3D printed surface. I recommend to use PETG on a textured sheet. The caps are hold in place by the wheel nuts so you need to demount them to put them onto your rims. As seen on the pictures I Printed the clean looking Version 1 and modified it with a Mazda logo from ToxicMaxi ( https://www.printables.com/model/385910-mazda-logo ), but you can modify them with any other logo of your choice to personalize your car :) The Logo is three layers thick ( 0,6mm ). You can either print it with your MMU2S or you you program a manual material change with the command M601. Feel free to contact me in the comments if you have any trouble with modifying your print program to create a multi color print. The V2 files are upgraded to minimize overhangs and eliminate the need to print with overhangs. UPDATE 28.11.23 Added a version for 5 bolt rims! Please share your prints and show me your modifications and personalized rims! HAVE FUN AND HAPPY PRINTING!
