I HIGHLY recommend the “holey” version and screwing into the frame This two-part design utilizes a bucket and a “top” (bracket) to allow the mounting of four accessory rocker switches in a 08-11 Impreza or 08-14 WRX/STI. It utilizes two of the factory screws that hold the map light buttons in place to mount to the bezel itself, and is secured to the roof with the map light bezel plus optional screws of your choice into the frame. The cable pass through is intentionally oversized and extra space is left internally to allow for various other uses for the bucket. I personally tapped into my hot supply for the switches and added a circuit to power my dash cam to save a cable run. One could potentially pop a tracker like an Airtag in there for additional vehicle security. There is an additional pair of semi-optional screw holes in the top portion that are intended to be used to secure it to the upper windshield frame.
