I bought some chunky lettering for the bonnet of my Discovery 1 and soon found that they were all for a flat panel, not the curved profile of my car. Here's my alternative set of letters that have a curved front and back.  Printing Rotate the letters in your slicer to have the best flat side facing the build plate. They should load orientated the correct way already but check. This will give a nice smooth face to the letters though you will need support everywhere on some. Material & Paint My photos are of the letters printed in Amazon Basic Silver PLA, them sprayed with primer, metallic silver and finally satin lacquer. Location The letters sit about 14mm up from the lip of the bonnet. I suggest you place a letter or spacer against the paintwork and move it up and down until you find the spot that matches the curve of the plastic best, then stick masking tape below for a base line. Repeat this in a few spots across the width and then run a length of tape across the bonnet to give your complete base line. Centred Determine the centre line. I ran mine from the middle of the number plate and up.  Now measure 35cm each side of this on your base line for the start and end of the full lettering, as the assembled words correctly spaced should be 70cm wide. Mark the start and end points on the base line masking tape. Placement I worked inwards from outside of the left and right words, so any discrepancy in size is taken in the space between the words. Use the letter spacer (included) between each letter to get them correct. One of my included photos shows this in progress.
