
PRELIMINARY (WARNING UNTESTED). (BUT NOW PRINTED VIA MJF IN NYLON). Presented here are the internals for post H&E early XJS Convertible rear window motor. These were designed from real but worn out parts. A 50 tooth gear, and the rubber internal shock absorber/driver link is included, as well as a MOLD to possibly POUR the rubber driver link in urethane etc. Presumably the gear would be printed on a high temp printer out of Nylon (or ABS minimally), or possibly out of a high durability resin (not sure how well that would work). The gear has a bottom side centering ring which is optional, but I created it as a separate glue in part for easier 3D printing. Note: OE Gear measured 54.40mm OD. The CAD file OD was set at 54.25mm. The MJF Print Came out at 54.60mm. One person who printed this for their own use noted that in their print, the teeth were too short for best engagement. So I've supplied a 56.75mm OD version with teeth offset outwards 1.25mm and a stronger fillet added to the teeth to ring interface to compensate for the longer teeth. I think the rubber drive piece might be printable in a high durometer TPU, but that's an untried speculation. Model subject to change based on feedback and implementation.
