Description

A custom-designed side mirror extension bracket for GAZelle trucks, developed for vehicles equipped with a wide enclosed/box body. When a wider box body is installed on a GAZelle truck, the original side mirrors may no longer provide sufficient rearward visibility because the body extends beyond the original mirror position. This extension moves the mirror outward, helping to restore a clearer view behind the vehicle. Unlike a generic spacer, this model was specifically designed around the original GAZelle mirror geometry. The original side mirror was 3D scanned, and the extension was designed directly from the scan data to accurately match the original mirror mounting geometry. The design also takes the mirror's electrical wiring into account, with the necessary clearance provided for the wiring and connector area. This allows the mirror's electrical connections to remain properly routed without interfering with the extension. Design & Development The original mirror was 3D scanned to accurately reproduce the mounting interface. The extension bracket was then developed specifically for this mirror using the scan data as the reference geometry. Particular attention was given to the mounting points, mirror positioning and electrical wiring clearance. This is not a generic universal mirror spacer. It is an application-specific design developed for the GAZelle mirror system.
