Rivian send a License Plate bracket that needs to be attached to the front bumper by drilling holes into it. I didn't want to drill holes into my brand new truck, so I designed this mount that clamps to one of the two front tow hitches. The Clamp slides over a dovetail at the back of the Mount. The Clamp is then tightened with a #8-32 x 1.00" long screw and nut. The License Plate is attached to the Mount with four #8-32 x .375" sheet metal screws. The one downside of the design is that the mount will need to be removed in order to use the Tow Hitch. I don't envision using the hitch often, so I am fine with this constraint. I thought about designed the Mount so that it snaps onto the hitch, but was worried about it coming off when driving off-road. I have used it for a full year without issues.
