When upgrading speakers in the Volt (according to this nice write-up by Doctor567 ) I realized that there is no source for an adapter for the front tweeters in the dash. So after modifying the factory wiring for my install, I wanted to make it easier for others, so I created this adapter so that you don't need to modify the factory wiring to replace the dash tweeters in a Chevrolet Volt. This was tested on a 2nd generation Volt with the Bose system, but may work for others. All you need to do is slide a 2-pin 2.54mm DuPont connector (the piece that holds the pins should be 14mm long) with male pins through the opening. They will be aligned with the factory wiring harness. Connect the wires from the DuPont connector to your new speakers. You should confirm with your model wiring, but the positive wire should be on the same side as the locking clip, and negative on the side with the slot extension as pictured. Hopefully, you have a way to get the DuPont connector without buying it, but if not - This is a sponsored link to get the pre-crimped wire and DuPont connector from Amazon - https://amzn.to/4sGyN6V . I might get an extremely small commission if you buy it through that link.
