3D-printable false cargo floor support bracket designed for the Chevrolet Bolt EV / Opel Ampera-e, optimized specifically for efficient FDM 3D printing without supports. The original OEM-style bracket geometry was designed for injection molding, using a hollow shell, reinforcing ribs and perimeter edges. While this works well for mass production, reproducing that geometry directly on an FDM printer requires a large amount of support material, creates unnecessary waste and can result in very long print times. This redesigned version keeps the functional geometry of the original cargo-floor support while modifying the structure specifically for additive manufacturing. The result is a strong, practical and support-free replacement bracket that is much easier to print at home.
