Since we plan to always have the car connected to the wallbox when not in use, we wanted a cover. This will provide additional protection for the charging port from rain and snow. To prevent the cover from scratching the paint, we are printing the cover in TPU 95A. Print this part with support. For the locking mechanism, like the original cover, we are using an ASA insert. This is simply pressed in. This should be clearly visible in the pictures. Print this part without support with the wider side down. Caution: Place the insert that the slot is vertical and fits to lock at the car. The upper slope in the pictures doesn't look good. This isn't due to the model, but rather to my ability to print TPU with support. In the model file, this surface is flat. This my first version Two other versions can be found here: Version 2 Charging port cover Version 2 for the Renault 5 e-tech by Stefan Gerber | Download free STL model | Printables.com which covers the charging port opening only Version 3 Charging port cover Version 3 for the Renault 5 e-tech by Stefan Gerber | Download free STL model | Printables.com also covers the opening for the release button and seals better at the cover hinge Printing instructions For the R5_chargeport_cover_V2.stl use TPU 95A the get some flexibility and to prevent scratches: 0.2mm layer height, with less I couldn't remove the support material printed with support over 30° and on build plate only 6 wall loops to make the walls solid For the R5_chargeport_cover_lock.stl use a hard filament like PETG or ASA: use hard filament 0.16mm layer height no support 5 wall loops to make the walls solid
