This bit of plastic covers the delicate and irreplaceable potentiometer fingers that pick up on the graphite pad on the throttle body cover. If the fingers are touched in any way, except for that graphite pad, they are destroyed. To replace them, you'll need to buy another throttle body.  Typically, someone with a bad Bosch throttle body would just buy one for less than $150 on Amazon but if the car you have is a Ferrari 360, then that's not possible. The stock of Ferrari 360 throttle bodies has been exhausted. The only choice is to rebuild the OEM unit with donor parts from a similar throttle body. Luckily, Bosch makes the perfect clone of the 360's throttle body and fits it to many different models of Porsche.  The part number of the OEM 360 throttle body is 0-280-750-038 - This one is unavailable. The Porsche throttle body that can be used for donor parts is 0-280-750-474. About $150 on Amazon. The parts are 100% interchangeable, except of course the housing of the unit, which is unique on the Ferrari 360.  The “finger covers” are marked with either a 038 or a 474. The difference between the models is slight, but at such small scales, it matters, so there are two models. The 474 model includes a pad that is used to press the valve assembly back into the throttle body.
