Description

These objects were fitted on a 2022 Chevy Colorado. They should fit all “Generation 2” 4x4 Colorado and GMC Canyon trucks. There are two versions: Note that the 4x4 Knob Lock object is different in each version and NOT interchangeable. Version 1 (shown in orange in pictures) only locks the 4x4 knob. To release the lock, you flex (lift) the “flag” portion of the 4x4 knob lock towards the driver slightly and rotate the 4x4 knob out of the 2WD position. Once unlocked from the 2WD position the knob will rotate freely to the other drive mode positions. You’ll need to again “flex the flag” to return the lock to the 2WD position. Version 2 (shown in blue in pictures) locks both the lighting and the 4x4 knob. To release JUST the lighting knob, push the 4x4 knob “flag” DOWN while rotating the lighting knob clockwise or counterclockwise. The light knob will relock when it returns to the Auto position. To release both the lighting and 4x4 knobs, flex the flag OUT while rotating the lighting knob or the 4x4 knob. If you ONLY rotated the 4x4 knob, you’ll need to flex the flag again to return it to the locking position. If you ONLY rotated the light knob, it will relock when it returns to the Auto position.  If you rotated BOTH, both need to be in their default positions (Auto and 2WD) to lock both knobs. Note that if you unlock the 4x4 knob, the light knob is also unlocked. Note in the pictures that the objects have splines that intersect with the knob splines; when installed they should have a very snug fit and removal should be somewhat difficult.  If not, you should resize and reprint the object (see below). When installing the objects in your truck, first make sure to position the 4x4 knob to “2” (2WD) and the light knob to “Auto”.
